Intertrust itself is the result of entrepreneurial drive and creativity, and we seek to fund the creation of new Intertrusts. We see this as one way of giving back to the high technology entrepreneurship community we came from, but also as a great way to bring our inventions to life in exciting products and services. |
We invest in disruptive ventures that extend our strategic vision, and build on our broad body of inventions and technologies. We invest in people and ideas, looking for entrepreneurs and business leaders who seek to change the world by creating ventures that use our inventions as their raw materials.
Today, we fund ventures in trusted distributed computing, secure systems, and consumer media services, including audio and video delivery cloud services, targeted advertising and recommendation technologies. We are also developing and funding new ventures in consumer health and grid energy, especially ventures where trust and privacy management and processing of sensitive consumer information is mission critical.
Our current portfolio includes the following exciting companies:

whiteCryption™ develops innovative white-box cryptography based Tamper Resistance solutions for security software applications and Digital Rights Management (DRM) systems. White-box cryptography is a revolutionary technology for protecting cryptographic algorithms and secrets against monitoring and reverse engineering in untrusted computing environments, such as consumer PCs, mobile devices, connected TVs, and embedded systems. The main goal of white-box cryptography is to provide an effective protection against adversaries who might attempt to retrieve an application’s secrets and who have full access to the execution environment, such as the program code, device memory, and software input-output. The whiteCryption white-box technology provides: Secure implementations of cryptographic algorithms, Protection of DRM systems, Protection of sensitive data, Secure hybrid encryption. The company also provides solutions that interface with secure hardware via its Secure Key Box (SKB) cryptographic library that enables customers to secure sensitive information, digital content, and intellectual property with a proven white-box cryptography technology. The white-box implementations of ECC, RSA, AES, SHA, HMAC, and CMAC directly compute on encrypted data and keys without decrypting them, and they are designed to be safe against debugging, reverse-engineering, analysis, and tampering. |
